Axle setup decided

Now after, asking around whether my axle set up is ok or not (which seems that everyone agree that it is not a good set up), I got few options to amended... so thank you to all who answer my questions on the forum and give comments on this blog.

So the options is as follows:

  1. Change the gearbox and T-case with the one who has right hand output (such as Taft, Isuzu elf, Land rover's and others)

  2. Set up the axle using CV joints

I think for the time being , I will try to use the second option as this will be the easiest and cheapest option.

But there are a lot to consider when choosing this option, relatively complex angle calculation need to be done but generally it would be like this:

as supposed to be like this when using conventional joint

You see the difference? if using CV joint, the angle of the axle has to be tilted up so it has 0 degree angle with the propeller shaft, the problem is: if you see the below picture, you will see that the space is very tight, the CV joint will take almost half of it... I do not know if it is possible but some says that it is possible...

Now I do not know where I can get the CV joint to handle that angle...
