But the problem that have not been sorted out till now is the rear output shaft, as you can see in the below picture, the output is exactly in the middle while original land rover is in the lower right, so I can not use the standard axle without some modification. It seems won't be a problem for the long wheel base though...

4JB1-T is now in the engine room...
Some friends asked me if 4Jb1-T engine is really fit in the Land rover series, well.. I can say YES to that question, actually the dimension of 4jb1T and the original engine is not much different, and the weight is also almost the same. look at the picture below, as you see it nicely fit to the engine room. I think you still can maintain the look of land rover series. Mine is already modified to defender style by the previous owner
