Project Fighter - Engine Rebuilt

BagonglandyI plan to join Kalimantan (Borneo) expedition next year if money, health and God permit, but it is good to start preparing for it now... there are many things need to be prepared though, here is my plan over the course of one year

  1. Physical and mental health, start exercising... I am now 93kg 174cm, it is an obese by fitness standard, I need to shed about 20kgs.. :-).

  2. Build a Fighter land rover series, I always want to do kind of expedition with the most basic vehicle... Series land rover will do the job hopefully, and it is cheaper to built than the defender.

  3. Money matters... how can you save money if you built a Land rover... I do not know...:-)

I won't talk about the money and health issue here, but for the vehicle it probably good to keep the record on the progress.

Once in a life time journey

    gelar pasukan

Just few days ago Land rover Club Indonesia just finished their expedition in Sumatra, it is camel thropy like of expedition... (more on this later)... Judging from their story, they really are having a good time, so I set my mind to join the next year expedition... See the preparation for the expedition on the pict..?

Once in a life time journey... I have to join the next year expedition..

Now if I have one year time to prepare myself for that expedition what would I do? this is my plan:

    • Although most of the participant this year using the Defender, and only few using Series land rover, I am quite adamant that I am going to use land rover series for next year expedition. After all, this is not about how strong is your vehicle, but on how we overcome the obstacle with the available tools that we have. My friend said that I am a masochist, it is like cutting the big tree with an axe, it will be easier and faster using an electric chain saw he said... Thats how he describe the series and defender land rover.. point taken but I still want to use series... it just look cooler.. :-)
    • Physical fitness : well I have a year to prepare my self... it is good that I now have reason to swim more, aerobic more, shed some more of my weight... I currently can be categories as obese actually... so it is good...

OK let's start to built the truck...

I have a left over series engine from my harajuku project (the one with the 4jb1T engine) will use that for this purpose... and now I am looking for the other parts... so stay tune, will update you by weekly or monthly bases
